In early 2024, Amine Rabehi wanted to understand the tech ecosystem in MENA and met more than 30 technology founders, academic researchers, technology experts, and institutional representatives. Despite the presence of many bright minds and a highly contagious positive energy, it was clear that the MENA tech ecosystem, especially for hardware, was still maturing and had numerous challenges.

For technology makers, there were many inefficiencies between a tech idea and a market launch. They also needed to know more about existing possibilities and help each other.

For technology providers, most technology makers didn’t know about their existence and capabilities. The lack of visibility slowed the tech ecosystem’s growth.

MENA MAKE was created to contribute by providing knowledge about best practices in technology product development and promoting existing actions and local ecosystem providers.
